The last few months have been a whirlwind. I honestly wouldn’t even know where to begin if I tried to recount the events that have led me here to Brooklyn. As I read over my “twitters”, I see entries that feel so long ago and some that I don’t remember at all. From posts that make me proud (“Just finished up for the day at Senator Obama’s office. Ive got 14 minutes to prep for the Fun Run at 7pm”) to posts that make me nostalgic (“Adventures in Alexandria with Pam!”) and posts that just make me laugh at myself (“Good Morning VA! Listening to Carly Simon - “Nobody Does it Better”. Did you know thats an old James Bond theme song?”).
As I tell everyone, I am inspired by so much, so these last few months has had me overflowing with new ideas. From working on the Campaign For Change in DC to working the VH1 Rock Your Fashion today in New York, so much of the things around me give birth to melodies, stories and everything in-between. I have been working diligently these last few days to compose together all the notes that I’ve been taking since the beginning of this journey and I can’t wait to get back to recording in December. I can honestly say this record will be full but concise, expansive but cohesive, and familiar but fresh.
I’m looking to have a completed project by spring but in the meantime head next door to http://www.thericardowilliams.com/music to hear the last record, Greetings from Altamonte Springs, FL
